What MunchAlong Is Not

MunchAlong is designed for one specific purpose: helping adults share ordinary moments in small groups at public food and drink venues.

To avoid misunderstanding, this page explains what MunchAlong is not.

MunchAlong is not a dating platform

MunchAlong is not designed for romantic matching, dating profiles, flirting, hookups or partner selection.

Do not use a Munch to pressure another person into romantic, sexual or personal interaction.

MunchAlong is not designed for lead generation, recruitment, investor pitching, business referrals, job hunting or sales prospecting.

A conversation may naturally include work, but participants must not treat other Munchers as business leads.

MunchAlong does not provide followers, popularity scores, public star ratings, private messaging, content feeds or influencer profiles.

MunchAlong provides the platform through which users create Munches.

MunchAlong does not organise, host, supervise, staff or manage the gathering.

The person who creates a Munch is another platform user, not an employee, agent or representative of MunchAlong.

MunchAlong does not reserve tables, guarantee seating or confirm that a venue will be open or available.

Participants remain responsible for checking the venue and following its rules.

A venue appearing on MunchAlong does not mean the venue sponsors, endorses, manages or partners with MunchAlong.

A venue name or map listing is used only to identify the intended public meeting place.

MunchAlong does not collect, split, hold, transfer or enforce payments between Munchers.

The payment arrangement shown on a Munch is an understanding between participants.

MunchAlong does not guarantee that a Host or Guest will honour that arrangement.

Premium subscription payments made to MunchAlong are separate and are processed through Stripe.

MunchAlong does not currently verify a user's identity through passports, national identity documents, driving licences or government databases.

MunchAlong does not perform criminal-record checks, employment checks, address checks, financial checks or other background screening.

A profile, photo, successful-Munch count or account history is not a guarantee of identity, character or future behaviour.

MunchAlong cannot provide police, ambulance, medical or emergency assistance.

In immediate danger, leave the situation and contact the appropriate local emergency service.

MunchAlong does not arrange transportation, accommodation, airport transfers, private stays or access to private homes.

MunchAlong is strictly for adults aged 18 and over.

It is not designed for minors, childcare, child supervision or family meetups involving unregistered minors.

Do not use MunchAlong to sell products, solicit donations, collect investments, recruit staff or promote paid services.

MunchAlong cannot guarantee friendship, compatibility, attendance, conversation quality, venue service or any personal outcome.

A Munch is a voluntary meeting between independent adults.
